The Road To A Repeat Begins On The Road…

The Chicago Blackhawks will begin their defense of the Stanley Cup on the road against the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday, October 7th, the NHL announced yesterday.

The banner will most likely raise at the United Center when the Blackhawks come home to open the season on Saturday, October 9th against the hated Detroit Red Wings.

The Blackhawks will then travel to Columbus to participate in the home opener of the Columbus Blue Jackets the following Friday, October 15th.

The rest of the 2010-2011 NHL schedule will be released shortly.
