Marlon Byrd from the Cubs and Matt Thornton of the White Sox were the only Chicago players chosen for the 2010 MLB All-Star game.
Byrd and Thornton were selected as reserves in the 81st annual All-Star game. Paul Konerko and Alex Rios were not named All-Stars, although Konerko could still make it if he is selected by online fan voting. The American League will be going for their 15th consecutive All-Star victory next Tuesday in Anaheim.
