Police are asking for the public’s help finding a schizophrenic woman missing from a North Side mental hospital.
Karen Kelly, 64, was discharged July 17 from Madden Mental Health Hospital to the Margaret Manor North Nursing home at 940 W. Cullom Ave. and left the facility unattended and has not been seen since, according to a missing person report from Belmont Area detectives.
Kelly suffers from dementia and schizophrenia and may be heading to the Ford City Mall Shopping Center at 4800 Briar Cliff Rd., police said.
She is described as a 5-foot-6, 116-pound white woman with a light complexion, gray hair and brown eyes, the release said. She was last seen wearing a short-sleeve blue blouse, blue jeans and black shorts.
Anyone with information about Kelly’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Belmont Area detectives at (312) 744-8266.
