Wrigley Field Will Host 2010 Under Armour All-America Game

On Saturday, August 14, Wrigley Field will add another event to its resume. Under Armour and Baseball Factory have announced that its 2010 All-America Baseball game will be held at the friendly confines. The game will include 36 of the best junior and senior high school baseball players in the country.

Much like the Under Armour All-America Football game has become a showcase for high school football players to display their talents to the nation, the baseball game will do the same and has quickly become the premier high school all-star game in the country. In the game's first two years (2008 and 2009) 58 of the 72 participants were selected in the MLB draft. While rosters for this year's game haven't been finalized, a partial list of players participating has and among them are two local players in Downers Grove South Pitcher Nick Burdi and Valparaiso High School pitcher Jerrick Suiter. The game will be televised live on MLB Network at noon on August 14th.
