Home Sweet Home

Home cooking to the rescue again. The White Sox returned home Monday night and picked up where they left off from their last home stand. A 6-1 victory over the Mariners makes it 8 straight wins at U.S. Cellular Field and also 15 wins in their last 16 games.

John Danks has his own streak going as his victory Monday makes it 4 in a row for the left hander and in those 4 games his E.R.A. is 1.76. Offensively, Alexei Ramirez and Juan Pierre each had 3 hits and Paul Konerko hit his 22nd home run.

Prior to the game General Manager Kenny Williams briefed reporters a good 30 minutes without really saying anything. The trading deadline is coming up on Saturday and Williams said the asking price is still too high to pull the trigger on any deals but he will keep talking to various clubs. He , of course, wouldn't reveal any details but did say it would have to be a monumental deal for any players off the current roster to be moved.
