Jon Heyman, of the MLB Network and SI, reports that the White Sox have won the claim on Manny Ramirez. On his twitter account Heyman reported that along with the White Sox, the Texas Rangers also put in a claim for the Dodgers slugger.
Now that the Sox have won the claim there are three options that can take place. The White Sox and Dodgers can work out a trade sending Manny to the Sox pending him waiving his no trade clause. The Dodgers could release Manny to waivers leaving the Sox on the hook for the remaining money on his contract. The third option would be for the Dodgers to pull Manny back off of waivers and he would finish out the year as a Dodger. With the Dodgers five games out of the NL Wild Card, all three possibilities are in play.

He sure would not hurt having hime, but at what price? He has the right of veto, and could ask for more money to sign with the White Sox. That I would say no to. He is over paid already and if he was doing that good, the Dodgers would not have given him his walking papers. We’ll see.

It would be so White Sox to wait until Tues to lock up a deal and miss having this guy in the lineup against the Yankees (even though he’s in Milwaukee right now with the Dodgers).
