
For only the second time in the last seven seasons the Chicago White Sox will open the regular season on the road. The team released their 2011 tentative regular-season schedule today, which has the team opening in Cleveland from April 1-3.
The home opener will take place on Thursday, April 7 against the Tampa Bay Rays and will start a 10-game homestand for the Sox.
The Sox and Cubs will square off for the 15th consecutive season. The first matchup of 2011 will take place from June 20-22 at U.S. Cellular field. The 2011 city series will conclude with a three game series from July 1-3 at Wrigley Field.
In addition to the Cubs, the White Sox will take on the Dodgers (May 20-22) and Nationals (June 24-26) at home. Their interleague road games will take them to Arizona (June 17-19) and Colorado (June 28-30).
