Police Investigating Possible Murder-Suicide In Edgewater

CHICAGO (CBS/ STMW) Police are on the scene of an apparent murder-suicide this afternoon.

The shooting happened outside on the 6200 block of North Sheridan Road at about 3:20 p.m., according to police News Affairs Officer Darryl Baety.

A man shot a woman, then turned the gun on himself, he said.

They were taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, where they were pronounced dead, Baety said.

The shooting scene is not far from Loyola University. Check back for more updates.
