Hjalmarsson Suspended Two Games

TSN is reporting that Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson has been suspended for two games.

The suspension is the result of a hit in Monday night’s that resulted in Sabres forward Jason Pominville suffering a concussion.

The Blackhawks and Sabres play again on Saturday night in Chicago. Hjalmarsson would be eligible to play in that game if his suspension is not reduced and he begins serving it Wednesday night against Nashville.
