CHICAGO (CBS) - The driver of a city garbage truck lost control, causing the truck to flip onto its side early Friday in the West Town neighborhood.

About 2:55 a.m., the driver of a Chicago Department of Streets & Sanitation garbage truck lost control and crashed in the 1300 block of West Division Street, just off the Kennedy Expressway, according to police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro. The garbage truck flipped on its side.

The driver of the truck was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with non life-threatening injuries, according to Alfaro.

A tow truck was sent out to set the truck back on its wheels. Motorists were advised to stay away from the area as the morning rush began.
