Brown: 'We're Not Going To Be Able To Hit People At All'

Former Bears DE and current Saints defender Alex Brown was very outspoken about the latest news-maker in the NFL, the new devastating hit rule. Brown told The Mully and Hanley Show, "we're not going to be able to hit people at all …… it's football," in reference to the clarification of this rule from the NFL. "We understand the type of things that may happen, yeah somebody could get hurt really bad, but you do understand that it could happen."

There was a rash of hits to the head in Week 6 of the NFL that caused a handful of players to leave the games with possible concussions. "They should be more clear on what devastating is, this is a contact sport, its hard to run full speed at Adrian Peterson and then try to decide where to hit him." Alex understands that the NFL is trying to eliminate the hits to the head and defenders leading with their heads and says "you're gonna play by the rules cause you don't want to get fined or suspended."
