Cubs Hire Listach As Bench Coach

According to the team’s website, the Cubs have hired Pat Listach as the team’s new bench coach. Listach, a former Cubs Minor League manager, spent the last two seasons as the Washington Nationals third base coach.

Listach managed in the Cubs minor league system for four season and posted a 258-217 record. In 2008, as the manager of the Cubs’ Triple-A affiliate, he was named the Pacific Coast League’s Manager of the Year before leaving to join the Nationals coaching staff.
