16-Year-Old Teen Shot Multiple Times, Attackers Flee

CHICAGO (STMW) – A teenage boy was shot multiple times Tuesday evening in the South Chicago neighborhood.
The 16-year-old boy was shot in the leg and groin at 4:34 p.m. in the 8000 block of South Coles Avenue, police said.
The attackers approached on foot, shot the teen and fled, police said. Nobody is in custody.
The teen was taken in “stable” condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, police said.
Calumet Area detectives are investigating.
