William Borgstrom, 66, of Chicago was a licensed flight instructor and commercial pilot.

He was piloting the two seater plane that went down into a grassy area adjacent to Schaumburg regional airport.

Witnesses say the plane was about 100 feet into the air after takeoff, when it stalled and the left wing dipped to the ground before nose diving into the east side of the runway at Schaumburg Regional Airpor.

Mr. Borgstrom was an enthusiastic capable pilot and yachtsman.
He will be missed by his many friends and those who have had the priviledge of knowing him.
