Officials Report Close To 52% Voter Turnout

CHICAGO (STMW) - Close to 52 percent of Chicago voters turned out to vote on Tuesday in the mid-term elections, the Chicago Board of Elections is reporting.

The official tally with all 2,570 precincts counted recorded 692,083 voters — or 51.85 percent of those registered in Chicago voted. Turnout for mid-term elections has been about 50 percent for the past 20 years in Cook County, officials said.
