Bears Must Put Buffalo Down Early

So far this hasn't been one of the more positive Bears' seasons. There has been plenty of unrest that stems from play calling to an ineffective offense. The only thing that might make matters worse right now would be a loss to the winless Buffalo Bills. While the Bears should take care of business, a slow start could come back to doom them.

"It'll be messy if [the Bears] don't put [Buffalo] down early," Moon Mullin said on the Danny Mac Show."If [the Bills] hang around they're going to get confident, which they've started to do the last couple of weeks, and that will make them dangerous."

Putting them down early will rely heavily on how prepared the Bears are coming out of the bye week. While some players spent the bye week with additional practice time, others were given a physical rest. However, the coaching staff may have started the process of re-evaluating they way they game-plan.

"Olin Kreutz and Jay Cutler, and a few others players, [were given] some time off just to regroup," Mullin said. "What happened upstairs, and Mike Tice mentioned this, was that they were looking at how they game plan and, coming from Tice, that makes me think there may be a shift up top on how they're going about the devising of game plans. Maybe even the play calling, I don't know how deep that will go."

We're just a few days away from seeing if the coaching staff made any changes to the way they game plan or if they will come out prepared and put the Bills away early.
