The NFL released its list of the top 100 players in NFL history. This is a list that is sure to stir up plenty of controversy and debate. The Bears have eight former players who made the list:

Player (NFL Rank, Fan Rank)

Mike Singletary (58, 15)

    Where’s Danimal?

Dan Hampton was light years better than Singletary and vastly more productive against a steady diet of double-teams. Heck, I even thought Wilber Marshall was better than Singletary. Media hype, 100+ broken helmets in college, those maniacal eyes and the greatest defense in NFL history made a TV superstar out of a consistently above-average linebacker. I liked Mike a lot, but he doesn’t belong on this list. Hampton does all the way. He was pheomenal.
