PORTAGE, Ind. (STMW) – As Cassandra Turner, 20, was being arrested on two counts of residential entry, she insisted she was in her own apartment in the 3300 block of Delta.

Instead, according to the police report, she had drunkenly entered two separate apartments in the 6600 block on Windjammer. The occupants did not know Turner.

About 1:20 a.m. Thursday, Turner reportedly let herself into the first apartment through an unlocked sliding-glass door, then started slapping a 27-year-old female tenant in the head when she was confronted. When the apartment’s occupants forced her outside, Turner then went upstairs and knocked on another apartment’s door, pushing her way in once the tenant answered, according to police.

Besides the two felony residential entry charges, Turner is charged with misdemeanor battery and underage drinking.
