Three Shot Near Wrigley Field

CHICAGO (CBS) - Three men were shot and wounded outside a fast food restaurant less than a block from Wrigley Field early Wednesday.

At 12:30 a.m., an unknown gunman approached two 19-year-old men and a 20-year-old man in front of the Taco Bell at 1111 W. Addison St., and shot them, according to a police. Newsradio 780′s Stan Pillman talked with a witness, who said a fight broke out at a nearby Wrigleyville bar and the shooting was the aftermath.

Police confirmed that a fight did erupt at the Wild Hare club, 3530 N. Clark St., shortly before the shooting and may have been connected to it.

The gunman fled the scene and was not in custody as of dawn Wednesday morning.

One teen was shot in both legs and an elbow, while the other 19-year-old suffered a graze wound to the ankle, according to the statement. The 20-year-old was shot in the ankle. All three victims were transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and were listed in good condition, according to the statement.

When the victims were first taken to the hospital, they were reported in serious condition, according to Fire Media Affairs Chief Kevin MacGregor.

At 11:36 p.m. Tuesday, police called a 10-1, an emergency call for immediate assistance, for the disturbance inside the club, where one man was stabbed in the hand and also hit over the head with a chair, according to the source.

The man stabbed did not want to cooperate with police.
