DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. (AP) – The deadline is here for northern Illinois residents who wish to apply for disaster assistance for damages suffered from July 19 to Aug. 7.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Illinois Emergency Management Agency are warning homeowners, renters and business owners who suffered flood damage to apply for the federal and state aid now.
Wednesday, Nov. 17 is the last day individuals may apply online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov or call toll-free at 1-800-621-3362. Operators are available to assist with the process from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m..
The U.S. Small Business Administration also has a Wednesday deadline for applications.
The aid is available for residents of Cook, Carroll, DuPage, Jo Daviess, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago counties.
