1 Hospitalized From Rogers Park Fire

CHICAGO (STMW) - One person was hospitalized in serious condition with smoke inhalation, after a fire started early Friday in the Rogers Park neighborhood.

The blaze started at 12:30 a.m. in a residential building in the 6900 block of North Ashland Boulevard, according to police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.

One person suffered smoke inhalation injuries and was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston in serious condition, Fire Media Affairs Chief Joe Roccasalva said.

Roccasalva said it was extinguished fairly quickly and was out as of 1 a.m.
