Body Pulled From Lake Near Belmont Harbor
CHICAGO (STMW) - A man's body was found floating in Lake Michigan near Belmont Harbor Friday afternoon.
Town Hall District police officers were flagged down at 12:08 p.m. after someone reported seeing something "suspicious" in the water, police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez said.
Police Marine Unit officers were called to assist and found the body of a man who was dead at the scene, Perez said. It was not immediately clear how long the man had been in the water and his age and race was not yet known.
Belmont Area detectives are investigating the death.
