Icy Roads Blamed For Far South Side Crash

CHICAGO (CBS) - Police say icy roads were the cause of a four-car crash that sent six people to the hospital on the city's Far South Side.

Four of the accident victims were critically wounded in the crash near 130th Street and Stony Island Avenue.

Paramedics responded at 9:56 p.m. Thursday to the four-vehicle, pin-in crash. An Emergency Medical Services Plan 1 was enacted, automatically sending five ambulances to the scene, Fire Media Affairs spokesman Joe Roccasalva said.

The victims have not been identified.
