By all accounts, everything went smoothly at O'Hare and Midway international airports on Sunday, which was the busiest travel day of the holiday season.

There were no reports of major delays anywhere in the country, and no delays at all at O'Hare or Midway.

At the start of the Thanksgiving holiday season Wednesday morning, worries about horrible security delays mounted after a Web-based campaign to get passengers to gum up the works by refusing full-body scans.

But the Transportation Security Administration said very few passengers opted out that day and got patdowns instead. And there were only scattered protesters at some airports.
