(WSCR) – Two-sport athlete Arby Fields will be leaving the football team and plans to transfer.
The football program will be losing a running back and the baseball program will be losing their starting center fielder.
In a statement released Thursday, coach Pat Fitzgerald says the Wildcats are “disappointed” and calls Fields “an outstanding young man.”
A sophomore, Fields rushed for 480 yards and six touchdowns while catching 21 passes over two seasons. He ran for a career-high 96 yards against Illinois State in September.
