Updated 12/12/10 2:39 p.m.

CHICAGO (STMW) - A teenage boy is dead after a Saturday night shooting near his Englewood neighborhood home on the South Side.

Someone shot the 16-year-old boy -- identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's office as Frank Hart -- multiple times about 7:30 p.m. in the 7100 block of South Paulina Street, police said.

Hart was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the medical examiner's office.

An autopsy Sunday determined Hart died of multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner's office.

The boy was initially hospitalized in critical condition with gunshot wounds to the buttocks and leg, police said.

No one was in custody Sunday morning.

Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.
