Man Shot Dead On Roseland Street

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man was shot and killed Monday night as he walked home in the Far South Side's Roseland neighborhood.

At 9:12 p.m., a 38-year-old man was walking to his house in the 11300 block of South Calumet Avenue when an unknown white vehicle approached him with two men inside, according to police News Affairs.

Another man pulled a gun and opened fire, shooting the victim who was dead at the scene, police said.

Kiley Murray was dead at the scene, according to a Cook County Medical Examiner's office spokesman.

No one was in custody as of early Tuesday, and Calumet Area detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
