False Fire Report Interrupts Blue Line
CHICAGO (STMW) - Service at the Blue Line O'Hare station was suspended early Friday after a fire was reported.
At 7:38 a.m., fire crews responded to a reported fire at the Blue Line O'Hare station serving O'Hare airport, according to Fire Media Affairs spokesman Rich Rosado.
Within minutes, the scene was secured because no fire was found, Rosado said.
As of about 7:45 a.m., a customer alert on the CTA website indicated a service disruption with no trains running between the O'Hare and Rosemont stations on the O'Hare branch of the Blue Line.
