It's called "Free Shipping Day", the day more than 1,700 stores online offer free shipping with guaranteed delivery by Christmas Eve.
The website freeshipping.org lists hundreds of retailers in the Chicago area and nationwide that are promising free shipping with guaranteed deliveries by next Friday, the day before Christmas Day. They include everything from sporting goods stores to furniture stores to stores that sell toys.
