Woman Shot When Bullet Blasts Through Window

CHICAGO (STMW) – A 24-year-old woman was wounded on Sunday afternoon when a bullet came through the window of her West Side home and struck her in the back.

About 1:45 p.m., the woman was standing at the window of her home on the 1400 block of North Luna Avenue when a bullet came through the window and struck her in the back, a report from police News Affairs said.

She was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where she was listed in serious condition, police said. Two males were seen running from the scene, but as of about 8 p.m. no one was in custody.

Grand Central Area detectives are investigating.
