Man Found Crushed To Death Near Mag Mile Trash Compactor

CHICAGO (STMW) -Police are investigating the death of a man who was found apparently crushed to death Monday morning near a trash compactor at a Magnificent Mile address.

The man, between 45 and 50 years old, was found dead at 430 N. Michigan Ave. Monday morning, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office, which did not release his identity.

Police responded at 9:18 a.m. and found the man dead at the scene, near some sort of Dumpster or trash compactor, police News Affairs Officer Daniel O’Brien said.

He was apparently crushed to death, and found near a trash compactor, according to a source and unconfirmed dispatch reports.

Police are conducting a death investigation, but had no further details. An autopsy to determine the cause and manner of his death is scheduled for Tuesday.

Belmont Area detectives are conducting a death investigation.
