This is obviously a dysfunctional family. How did they allow this aunt to watch their children? She not only had one allegation, but four separate allegations of substantiated abuse or neglect against her in the past. The closest she would get to my children would be by photograph.

Average guy, I agree with you, the entire family is dysfunctional. And the sad apart about this is that they are saying that the aunt which is the baby second cousin didn’t have anything to do with his death. I hope they lock her up and throw away the key for all the harm that she has done to children in the last 10 years.

Too all of u who commented u no nothing about are family we are not disfuctional.this was a honest act of god.the autopsy show no signs of fool play nor abuse. My sister has never harmed a child her childern where tooken out her custody due to her not complyn wit them not about abuse harm nor neglect. And to concern how bout they take the key to u n dispose of it. Let are family greeve we do not need these negative stories nor comments. It’s important to know the individuals that come into contact with your children. With “four separate allegations” of child abuse, this is obviously someone who should not come into any contact with a child. Accidents do happen, but allowing this person to watch a child was not a wise decision. I will keep this family in my thoughts and prayers.

Breaking news: Aunt / Second cousinwas released from police custody after discovering she was not involved in the child’s death. To Concern- you should also have done a spell check, ie.. “I not” should have been I’m not. Also, this was an unfortunate situation and instead of pointing the finger everyone should get their facts together and pray for the family.

That’s what happens when people attack your loved ones without knowing the facts (Pat). That baby was sick and she had no idea. She was asked to baby sit and she did. She has watched all 7 of my children from birth til now and they are all fine and love her to death. If you want to blame someone it ain’t her.

Dcfs never gaver her a chance to be a mother. We were in the system and they made it a priority to make her kids part of the system also. She was chrged with abandonment in 2000 never abuse and she was never given an opportunity to be a mother after that they just took her kids from the hospital. they lied and messed her over then and they are doing it now.

Okay mc, its obvious that you have issues with someone else (Pat) not me. I don’t know you (thank god). I’m just upset about the situation with this young baby and his mother and have done some research on this case, which wasn’t hard to do at all. This whole situation is sad and the only person that has had something positive to say was Change. It’s sad that on Christmas day, people were on the internet going back and forth about the aunt or cousin (whoever she may be) instead of being concerned about the mother who has just lost her three month old baby. I can only imagine how she feels during this time and I pray that she isn’t surrounded around drama. You mentioned that you have seven children, please make sure that this never happens to them.

The sht u’ve heard has and will always b a lie. she’s been tooken advantage of so many times. If you dunno she has read these comments nd she’s very hurt nd upset. pple like you really dont need to b in our business cuz all u do is critisize. to u damajay is a headline story. to us he is family. same with his aunt.
