Heating Help In Joliet Still Available

JOLIET, Ill. (STMW) - The Will County Center for Community Concerns in southwest suburban Joliet announced that funds are still available from the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program to assist income-eligible households with their winter utility bills.

Households must be at or below 150 percent of poverty level to receive a one-time direct payment (if your heat is included in your rent, but only if the rent exceeds 30 percent of your 30-day total gross income).

Applications will be taken from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., or until daily sign-in sheet is full, Mondays through Fridays at the center, 304 N. Scott St.
