A couple from Germany, a couple from the U.K. and a couple from Canada were all wandering the mall, taking advantage of the deals, and the exchange rate for the dollar.
Chris Donaldson of Winnipeg came to Chicago for his honeymoon. He was waiting for his wife outside a store.
“She heard it opens at 8, and she wanted to get in her right on time to get as many deals as she could,” Donaldson said.
A few minutes later, William Skinner from the U.K. was also spotted waiting for his wife.
“I love it here, because I can sit here, I can read a book, I can play on my phone, whatever. She goes shopping; I’m just here to carry the bags,” Skinner said with a laugh. “I know my place in life.”
