NAPERVILLE, Ill. (WBBM) – A Naperville woman is praising her congresswoman for helping cut through red tape and get government documents for her children.
As WBBM Newsradio 780’s Nancy Harty reports, in a couple of days, the office of U.S. Rep. Judy Biggert (R-Ill.) was able to get the citizenship papers for which Sue Velazquez, 52, had been waiting a year and a half.

Velazquez got in trouble with the Secret Service after she said, “It’s not like I’m trying to kill (expletive) Obama” to a federal employee, over frustration with the long process.
The Naperville Sun reported that a call from a Biggert staffer led to Velazquez’s papers being found.
Now, Velazquez’s 17-year-old daughter can get the marriage certificate she has been seeking.
Velazquez also said even though she is a registered Democrat, she will vote Republican from now on thanks to Biggert, the Naperville Sun reported.
