FBI Releases Photos Of Willow Springs Robbery Suspect

CHICAGO (CBS) — The FBI is looking for help in nabbing a robbery suspect who hit a Willow Springs bank for the second time in nearly six months.

Surveillance video captured the suspect entering the First Merit Bank, at 8480 South Archer Avenue, on Monday evening with a tire iron. He approached the teller counter and threatened to harm the bank employees if his demands for cash were not met.

After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the bank on foot. No one was injured.

Investigators believe the same man robbed the same bank on July 16, 2010.

The suspect is described as in his 30s, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and weighing 250 pounds. He also has a goatee.

If anyone has any information regarding this individual or the bank robberies please call the Willow Springs Police Department 708-467-3700 or the Chicago Office of the FBI at 312-421-6700.

Really??? Is that the best photo available to be shown if you want to catch a bank robber, really?

Banks need double locking doors in the lobby so if the alarm is tripped, the robber will be trapped between the inner and outer doors.

And what if an innocent person is walking in as the bank robber is trying to leave?
