Sketch Released Of Man Who Raped Woman

CHICAGO (STMW) - Chicago police have issued a composite sketch of a man who attacked and raped a woman in her home in the South Shore neighborhood the day after Christmas.

A community alert from Calumet Area detectives said the 24-year-old woman was on her back porch in the 7400 block of South Colfax at about 8:45 p.m. on Dec. 26 when the man confronted her. He pushed her back into the house and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described as a black man 24-30, 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10 and 220 pounds with a very dark complexion and short black afro. He was wearing a blue baseball cap with a red "W" on the front, a black front-zip hoodie, yellow T-shirt, grey jogging pants and black shoes. He had a scar on the right side of his face extending from his eye to his lip.
