Boozer Not Happy About Being Benched

NEWARK, N.J. (CBS) -- Carlos Boozer was not pleased at Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau's decision to bench him for nearly the last 15 minutes of Wednesday's game against the New Jersey Nets.

The Chicago Tribune reported Boozer said it was "absolutely" frustrating to sit out for the last 14 minutes and 21 seconds of the game, which the Bulls lost 96-94.

"You have to talk to Thibs about that. That was his decision," Boozer said in the Tribune report by Bulls beat writer K.C. Johnson.

Thibodeau explained that the Nets were using a small lineup and a zone defense, which required more shooting on the floor on the part of the Bulls, He said playing Luol Deng at the four was more effective against the zone defense, the Tribune reported.

Derrick Rose remarked that the team was "surprised" at the decision to bench Boozer, "but we're not going to try to coach," the Tribune reported.
