Bulls Need To Improve On Road

Wednesday's loss to the New Jersey Nets might not have been the best example of the Chicago Bulls this season. But it does represent something the 23-11 Bulls can improve.

"We allowed them to shoot 49%," Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau said after the game. "They got a big loose ball at the end that won the game for them. So, you know, you have to defend and rebound on the road and you have to have low turnovers. We didn't. We didn't defend, we didn't rebound well."

What the Wednesday night game does highlight is the disparity between the Bulls when they play at home and when they play on the road. The Bulls have the 6th best record (23-11) in the entire NBA. At home, the Bulls have the 3rd best record (15-3), but on the road the Bulls fall to 8th in the league with an 8-8 record.

And to make matters worse, the Nets are one of the worst teams in the league, and that fact wasn't lost on the Bulls. They know that's a game that they need to have won.

"It's the second game we lost to a team that's under .500, I think," Derrick Rose said. "Right now it hurts, but we can't hang our heads down. We have to continue to play. We have to get off to good starts again. But it's going to take a lot of practice."

This is a Bulls team that seems committed to living up to their potential, and they seem like they're willing to put in the work to get there.
