As expected, the Chicago Blackhawks have recalled defenseman Nick Leddy from the Rockford IceHogs.
Leddy is coming off of the 2011 World Junior Championships, where we won a bronze medal with Team USA.
The Buffalo, New York native spent six games with the Blackhawks in the beginning of the season and scored a goal. At Rockford this season, Leddy has recorded ten points (2A, 8A) in 22 games.
The 16th overall selection in the 2009 NFL Entry Draft by the Minnesota Wild, Leddy came to the Blackhawks last season in the deal that sent Cam Barker to the Wild.
