After a slow start, the Chicago Blackhawks are finally starting to show signs that they’re still the same team that won the Stanley Cup last season. And it has everything to do with comfort.
“I find we’re jelling together right now,” Blackhawks defenseman Brian Campbell said on the Danny Mac Show. “I think we just feel more comfortable in our roles. I think we’re getting to that point in the in the season where we know how much each game means and how we need to climb in the standings.”

In their last 10 games, the Blackhawks are 6-4-0, but in they’ve won their last three games while outscoring their opponents by a combined 12-2.
And there might not be a better time than now to find their comfort level. Five of their next seven games are against playoff teams, including a games against Detroit, Philadelphia Vancouver and a back-to-back games against Nashville on Saturday and Sunday.
“You know, it’s a grind these 82 games,” Campbell said. “I think, at the start, coming off last season it was a grind to get it going and now I think everybody feels fresh, we’re healthy.”
Watching the Blackhawks jell, it’s clear that the more they do the more they start having fun.
“Hockey is a ton of fun,” Campbell said. “We love coming to the rink everyday. So right now everybody is in good spirits and ready to go with a big weekend coming up.”
