Locations Close To Observe Martin Luther King Day

CHICAGO (STMW) – The following locations will be closed Monday in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a federal and state holiday:

All Chicago Public Schools and the Chicago Public libraries will be closed.

The U.S. Postal Service will be closed and regular mail will not be delivered. UPS, FedEx and DHL will still make deliveries.

City and state government offices will be closed.

All federal and county courts will be closed, except for Cook County Central Bond Court (Br. 1), which will have holiday bond hearings.

Most banks will be closed. Call your bank or check their website to confirm their status.

The CTA, Metra and Pace will all run on normal weekday schedules.

Parking meters must be paid in Chicago.

    i seen Dr. King when i was a kid…i think he would be sad to see how Jesse turned into a poverty pimp, along with them getto congress people, not helping the POOR…wasn’t about race…rich and poor who ate who didn’t…..yes he would be sad to see how they used him and his name in vain…..
