Urlacher: 'Big Challenge, Big History Game'

It's the matchup that people dreamed of once all six NFC playoff teams had secured their seeds.

The only time the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers could cross paths would be with a trip to Dallas on the line.

And that's exactly the way that it all played out. Both the Bears and Packers moved on to the NFC Championship game with run away victories over their Divisional Round opponents.

This matchup will be the 183rd time the two franchises have squared off on the gridiron. And this might be the biggest game of them all. Only once before have the two teams played each other in the playoffs.

But this will also be the third time these teams have played each other this season, so they know each other well.

"They're good," Bears' linebacker Brian Urlacher said. "We know what they are. They have a great quarterback, a great defense, big challenge for us. We played pretty well against them, the last couple years we have at least."

The historical importance of this game isn't just something for the fans and the media to fill conversations and articles with. The players know the circumstances of this game as well.

"[It's a] big challenge, big history game," Urlacher said. "I guess this is only the second time it's happened, someone told me on the field. I'm excited to get a chance to get to play them at our place."

You can add all of Chicago to the list of those excited to see the Packers make the trip south to Soldier Field.
