Intoxicated Driver Crashes Into Bolingbrook House

BOLINGBROOK, Ill. (STMW) – An intoxicated motorist crashed into a house Friday morning in southwest suburban Bolingbrook. No one was injured.
About 5:06 a.m., Daniel D. Smith, 25, of Bolingbrook, apparently lost control of a vehicle while driving on Hywood Lane, according to a release from Bolingbrook police.
The vehicle crossed over Delaware Drive before eventually crashing into a house at 328 Dean Circle, the release said.
There were people in the house at the time of the crash, but no injuries were reported. Smith was taken to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital for evaluation, the release said.
Smith has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of drugs, and improper lane usage, according to police.
