Woman Mugged At Chinatown CTA Station

CHICAGO (STMW) - Police have released a surveillance video image of one of three people who battered and robbed a woman at a Near South Side CTA station.

The incident occurred about 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 12 at the Chinatown Red Line station at Cermak Road, according to an alert from Wentworth Area detectives.

The victim was walking in the station when a man and two women struck her, stole her purse and ran away. One of the suspects was captured on a station surveillance camera.

One of the suspects is described as a black woman 18-22, 5-foot-7 and 160 pounds with a light complexion and dark blond hair worn in a ponytail. She was wearing a red and white plaid waist-length jacket with a white fur-trimmed hood and blue jeans.

The second suspect was described as a black woman 18-22, 5-foot-5 and 130 pounds with a medium complexion and dark brown medium-length hair. She was wearing a purple jacket and blue jeans.

The third suspect was a black man 18-22, 5-foot-5 and 140 pounds with medium complexion, wearing a hooded gray coat.
