High School Students' Meal To Be Served Systemwide
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A big day is in store for some Chicago public high school students who are budding chefs.
As WBBM Newsradio 780's Bernie Tafoya reports, a meal they planned will be served systemwide on Monday.

Student chefs from Richards Career Academy High School, 5001 S. Laflin St., won the "Cooking up Change" healthy lunch contest.
On Monday, at least 20,000 high schoolers in the city are expected to choose their fellow students' menu selections, including Afro-Caribe plancha, soup of sunshine, and Caribbean citrus crunch.
The Chicago Public Schools' food vendor, Chartwells Thompson, took care of the mass-production of the meal.
The Richards High School chefs had to meet taste, budget and nutrition criteria to win the contest.
They will each receive culinary school scholarships, and travel to New York City to promote the healthy school food message.
