Cubs License Plates To Go On Sale

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Are you such a diehard Cubs fan that you want to show it off to the world on your car?

On Wednesday, the Illinois Secretary of State's office starts selling Cubs-themed license plates. The plates have a Cubbie-blue background and a Cubs logo, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

The plates cost $69. The proceeds benefit Illinois schools, the Sun-Times reported.

The Cubs now become the second local pro-sports team to get their own license plates. The state began offering Blackhawks license plates for sale in November, and some 5,000 have been sold, the Sun-Times reported. Negotiations for license plates are also underway for Bears, Bulls and White Sox plates, the newspaper reported.
