LeBron And Wade Defend Cutler

Jay Cutler has been getting varying degrees of criticism and support from the NFL's fans, players and media. And as this story has grown in prominence, he's finding some support outside the NFL.

"I've been in Jay Cutler's shoes," LeBron James of the Miami Heat said. "So I know how it feels to have everybody just saying that you weren't up for the task...I believe if a guy is healthy enough, he would have played."

James was accused of of quitting on the Cleveland Cavaliers in last year's playoffs.

"No one knows what he's feeling, what pain he's feeling," Dwyane Wade said. "As a competitor, I want him to be in there. But obviously if he wasn't in there, he couldn't go. You cannot question Jay Cutler's toughness."

Wade has missed some time this season due to migraine headaches and was also criticized for leaving a 2007 game against the Houston Rockets. A shoulder injury forced Wade to leave that game in a wheelchair.

"I'm not going to question his toughness," Wade said. "I mean when the guy gets sacked 53 times or whatever it is and gets back up...If he didn't play, he couldn't go."
