CHICAGO (CBS) – An elderly woman has been found dead in her West Side home, which had no heat Friday night.
Daisy Scott, 74, was found frozen inside her home on the 5800 block of West Walton Street, authorities said. Her home had no heat when officials arrived at the scene.
An autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday to determine whether the cold played a role in her death, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
