OAK BROOK, Ill. (STMW) – One person suffered minor injuries when a car hit a wall and burst into flames, after colliding with a semi Monday morning on the Ronald Reagan Memorial Tollway.

The crash occurred at 5:02 a.m. on westbound I-88 near the York Toll Plaza, according to Illinois State Police.

The passenger car and semi collided, resulting in the car striking a wall and bursting into flames, state police said.

The driver of the passenger vehicle, a man in his 30s, was hospitalized with “minor injuries,” according to state police. The man was able to get out of the car without suffering any burns.
